Summer Solstice Parade in Santa Barbara / Image City of Santa Barbara

The annual Santa Barbara Summer Solstice Parade and Festival has been a City tradition since the early 1970s. Each year spectators line the streets to see the homegrown parade and an amazing outpouring of creativity from the community.

In its 49th year, the Solstice Parade and Festival is the largest arts event in Santa Barbara County, drawing crowds of over 100,000 spectators and participants from around the world.  The 2023 parade will start at noon, June 24 at the corner of Santa Barbara St. and Ortega and proceed to Alameda Park for the festival.

The festival will take place Friday, Saturday, and Sunday,  June 23rd, 24th & 25th.  The festival is free and open to the public and will include a full musical lineup as well as a variety of food and merchant vendors and a beer and wine garden.
