Design Excellence – 2021 SB ArchitecTour

The American Institute of Architects Santa Barbara Chapter’s ArchitecTours returns today! This year’s tour will be hosted virtually between 9:30 am and 3:30 pm beginning Saturday, October 2nd.

This year’s theme is “Design Excellence,” and highlights six unique properties that include structures across Santa Barbara, Goleta, and Ojai that reflect 21st century needs and ideals, including demonstrating sustainability and equitable housing solutions.

The Santa Barbara AIA’s annual ArchitecTours is a celebration of local architecture. This event draws attention to the extraordinary architectural legacy in Santa Barbara and the value of well-designed architecture to its surrounding community. Equally, ArchitecTours highlights the expertise that AIA architects possess including a thorough understanding and expertise in urban design, sustainability, accessibility, structural improvements, building materials, and historic renovation.

The Architect Tour tickets cost $35 for the general public with a $25 fee for seniors, students, and AIA members. For tickets and info visit: www.aiasb.com/architectours-2021
