Kirsten was born in the USA, and shortly thereafter her family moved to Europe where Kirsten’s father was an executive with General Motors. Until the age of 14, Kirsten lived in France, Belgium, and Ireland. After turning 14 Kirsten and her family moved back to Michigan.
In 1995 Kirsten moved to the town of Sonoma in Sonoma County where she began riding her horse (Tess), and competing in Hunter Jumper events. Tess is now retired and lives on a beautiful ranch in Santa Ynez. In 2000 Kirsten moved to Marin County and began her real estate career which eventually led her to the Central Coast and Santa Barbara in 2011.

In early March the Montecito Journal reported that the Montecito Water District (MWD) unanimously approved a declaration of emergency water shortage – Ordinance 92- on February 11th, mandating no new water connections, plus restrictions on pools, hosing of hard surfaces, home car washes, and correction of leaks, plus fines of up to $1000 for repeated violations.
